HIGHLIGHTS: Undeveloped area with
network of trails within the Morros. Artistic oak groves, wildflowers
and a feeling of spaciousness all so close to town. Gorgeous
views of our National estuary and great rock formations. |

WHO SHOULD GO: Hikers, cyclists and
equestrians. |
 | HOW TO GET THERE: From Hwy 101, take
Los Osos Valley Road toward Los Osos. Turn east on South Bay
Boulevard, drive 2.3 miles and turn off is on the right hand side into
parking lot. From Hwy 1, take South Bay Boulevard west, drive 1.3 miles,
trail head will be on the left. |
 | WHERE TO PARK: Watch closely for turnoff as it is difficult to see.
There is turn around room for horse trailers. Please clean up
after your horses! |
 | TRAIL CHARACTER and DISTANCE:
Well defined trails with good safe footing. Four loops of
approximately 1.5 to 2.5 each with some easy climbing. It is very easy to
figure eight and hike or ride up to 12 or 15 miles. Each loop provides
a view of Morro Rock, Morro Bay and Morro Strand. |
