Wednesday 1st

“Handy Plants” Nature Walk               10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Meet at the Ranger Station to set out and learn about the useful plants at Lopez Lake.  Please wear sturdy shoes and bring water.  Park day use fees are $6.00 per vehicle.

Saturday 4th

Nature Boat Cruises              9:00 a.m.noon

Reserve your spot on the boat at the registration office.  Adults  $6.00 Children $3.00  Bring a jacket and water. Park day use fees are $6.00 per vehicle.

Creatures of the Night Campfire Show            8:15 p.m. – 9:15 p.m.

Join us at the Nature Center in the Marina every Saturday night at 8:15 p.m. for our campfire show. Park day use fees are $6.00 per vehicle.

“Geology Rocks  Nature Walk                       10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Meet at the Wittenberg Arm Kiosk to take an adventure through time and learn about the geology of Lopez Lake.  Please wear sturdy shoes and bring water.  Park day use fees are $6.00 per vehicle.

“Ancient Echoes” Native American Culture Campfire Show                   8:15 p.m. – 9:15 p.m.

Join us at the Nature Center in the Marina every Saturday night at 8:15 p.m. for our campfire show.  Park day use fees are $6.00 per vehicle.

Wednesday 15th

“Riparian Habitat  Nature Walk                             10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Meet at the Valley Oak Day Use area.  Please wear sturdy shoes and bring water.  Park day use fees are $6.00 per vehicle.

Saturday 18th

Kids Free Fishing Clinic            9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Bring the Kids (under 16) to the lake for a Free Fishing Clinic.  The clinic is held at he Nature Center near the Marina and runs from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Come before noon to allow time to fish.  Kids will be given lessons with an experienced fishermen on fishing ethics and conservation, knot tying, fish types and ecology as well as how to cast your line.  All equipment needed is provided and everyone gets a chance to fish.  Park day use fees are $6.00 per vehicle.

Sunday 26th

Friends of Lopez Lake Potluck Picnic                Noon - whenever

Come get acquainted with Friends of Lopez Lake.  Bring a sandwich plus something to share to Valley Oak Picnic Area. Beverages will be provided.  Park day use fees are $6.00 per vehicle.

Wednesday 29th

“Living as an Oak Tree  Nature Walk                       10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Explore the ecosystem of an oak tree.  Please wear sturdy shoes and bring water and meet at the Ranger Station.   Park day use fees are $6.00 per vehicle.
