 | WHAT: Laguna Lake Trail |

 | HIGHLIGHTS: An easy jog or walk near town with
more than 100 species of birds inhabiting a natural lake area. The area is
bordered by the Morro's. A beautiful place to enjoy a walk during lunch or
after work. Physical fitness equipment is available for use along the trail.
Picnic and play areas as well as restrooms are available. |
 | WHO SHOULD GO: Joggers and walkers. |
 | HOW TO GET THERE: From Highway 101 in San Luis
Obispo take Madonna Road southwest to Dalidio Drive. Entrance to Laguna Lake
Park is on the right opposite the Post Office. |
 | WHERE TO PARK: Drive into the park on a paved
roadway 0.2 mile to another roadway on the left. Turn left, and continue on
to the parking lot on the right. The hike starts here. |
 | TRAIL CHARACTER and DISTANCE: 1.4 miles loop with
a side trip that may be taken to the top of the rocky hill to the east.
Trail is mostly flat and open with good views of the lake and surrounding
hills. |
