TRAIL: Nipomo Mesa Nature Trail WHO SHOULD GO: Walkers, hikers, joggers, nature observers. LOCATION: The Nipomo Regional Park. HOW TO GET THERE: Exit 101 on Tefft - west. Just short of 1 mile turn right on Pomeroy. Turn left on the park road. WHERE TO PARK: Use the Monterey Picnic area parking. The natural area is north of the tennis courts near the dirt road into ball fields. SPECIAL FEATURES: Trails within a natural oak forest next to a well groomed developed park. TRAIL CHARACTER and DISTANCE: Sandy footing. Easy to moderate figure eight trails of 3 or 4 miles.
