HOW TO GET THERE: From Hwy 101 take the
Madonna Road Exit West. Proceed to Los Osos Valley Road,
turn right. Perfumo Canyon Road is less than a mile on the left.
WHERE TO PARK: Park on the dirt
turnout on the left side of dirt road.
HIGHLIGHTS: A moderately challenging
bike ride or hike in a beautifully natural canyon so very close to the
city.
TRAIL CHARACTER and DISTANCE: Use the
bike lane on this paved road for the first half mile. At 2.5
miles the road becomes a view maintained dirt road with some paved
areas. The road climbs to 1360' winding over rolling hills and
through ancient oaks. Spectacular view of Morro Bay and six of
the volcanic peaks award you at the top of this moderately strenuous
climb.
CAUTION: Cattle are often on the road.
The property on both sides of the road is private, please respect all
fences.
