 |
HOW TO GET THERE: Take Highway 101 north

The trip to the Pinnacles is beautiful, especially along Highway 25. |
 |
WHERE TO PARK: There is a $4 day use
fee payable at the entrance. Ask where to park. |
 |
TRAIL CHARACTER and DISTANCE: Check
out the visitor center for the history of the park and acquire a map
of the trails. All trails are well maintained and delineated.
Beginning across from the center is a trail with a steady moderate
climb for 1.7 miles to a junction with other trails. Several
overlooks allow for spectacular views with many sightings of birds and
opportunities to observe many varieties of plant communities.
Using a map and the trail signs you many choose to create several
loops back to the visitor center. |
 |
CAUTION: Many of the climbing routes
are closed from Jan. 15 for several months to allow bird nesting.
