subdivision and into a myriad of trails in the National Forest. The trails are
perfect for distance riding. |
 | How to Get There: Exit Highway 101 in Arroyo Grande on
Grand Avenue. Proceed east 10.8 miles toward Lopez Lake. Turn right on Hi
Mountain Road, just prior to Lopez Lake Park. Follow the signs toward
Pozo. Proceed 4.2 miles to staging area on left. Trail head and signs are in parking
area. |
 | Trail Character and Distance: The public trail is fairly
flat with good footing for 2.5 miles. Hi Mountain Road is slightly rocky, but allows
an easy trot. Travel this road for another 10 miles to reach the Pozo Saloon for
breakfast or lunch. Carry a National Forest trail map to explore the many side
routes. |
