 | WHO SHOULD GO: Hikers, cyclists and
equestrians. |
 | HIGHLIGHTS: A wonderful jeep road that allows
you views of the lake. Good footing most of the year. |
 | HOW TO GET THERE: Hwy 101 to Highway 58, the
Santa Margarita exit. Follow highway 58, crossing the railroad tracks
until Pozo Road is reached. Take the right fork, Pozo Road.
Proceed past the Santa Margarita Lake exit for 7 miles. Turn left on
River Road after crossing the bridge. Drive two to three miles to the
entrance on left side of the road. Plenty of parking and easy turn
around for horse trailers. You do need to pay for day use, unless you
have a Santa Margarita Lake Car Pass. |
